NaBloPoMo July Day 3: Didn't We Tell You NOT to Drink the Water?
Moving from Alaska to New Mexico ten years ago was a c-h-a-n-g-e.
A big change.
Talk about heat. Talk about sweat. Talk about dehydration.
I was jokingly told by military wives and teaching colleagues to "not drink the water" at WSMR, because it was a post known for producing many later-in-life family additions.
Apparently the wives and teachers weren't joking. On the day of kindergarten graduation, these two kids:

... got to welcome this new kid to the family:
He's our happy surprise, and our favorite memento from our year at WSMR.
We'd move a month or two after his birth, during the summer, to The Land of Oz.
